Marta Zayas

Class of 2016

Marta Zayas, who was born and raised in Puerto Rico, enjoys learning about art and had the opportunity to interpret the works of Puerto Rican artist Antonio Martorell at the Museo de las Américas, located in Old San Juan. Marta is working on a graduate degree in art history and deaf women’s studies at the University of Puerto Rico. She has previously conducted research on the historic preservation of the Ordóñez Cannon at San Juan National Historic Site, making her an ideal intern to assist with interpretation and conservation efforts for the cannon and shells.
