Joyska Nuñez-Medina

Class of 2016

Joyska was born in Puerto Rico moved to Tampa, Florida at the age of 5. She received her B.A. in History with a minor in Theatre from North Carolina State University and is now pursuing an M.A. in Museum Studies from George Washington University with a concentration in Exhibition Development and Design. Growing up she frequently attended Boy Scout and Girl Scout events which cultivated a love of nature. She also has great passion for museums and history. Most of her research focuses on cultures and how those cultural products influence society. She believes that museums are guardians of significant cultural artifacts that need to be shared and hopes to provide the moving experience she feels in museums to others.
